This special set honors the pocket change our American ancestors used a century ago. Included are 1919 specimens of the Lincoln Wheat cent, Buffalo nickel, Mercury dime, Standing Liberty quarter and the Walking Liberty half dollar. The buying power of these coins in 1919 was substantial; $11 could feed a family of five for a week. Long gone from commerce, these items are no longer found in pocket change. Mintage numbers for all these coins were very limited compared to today's outputs. Fine to Very Fine quality.
