1923-S San Francisco Peace Silver Dollar Very Fine. Of the 19 million Peace silver dollars output at San Francisco in 1923, it's estimated that today as few as 0.2% may exist in mint-state quality. Of those remaining 1923-S Peace dollars that escaped government melts, just about 8% of the original mintage survives in the clearly detailed Very Fine quality we offer here or better grades. That makes this circulated Very Fine specimen a great choice for collectors.
1934-S San Francisco Peace Silver Dollar Very Fine. Suspended after its quota was reached in 1928, the Peace dollar series was again briefly revived in 1934 and 1935 during the Great Depression. The San Francisco Mint struck only one million for circulation in 1934, which was merely 2% of the Philadelphia Mint's 1922 output. Today the 1934-S Peace dollar is the scarcest by far for the date. Our nicely detailed Very Fine quality saw limited usage in the Depression years.
