Issued the same year the Korean War ended and Dwight D. Eisenhower was inaugurated, these dimes and quarters feature 90% silver content. Both denominations output by San Francisco had the lowest mintage in 1953, with 39.2 million dimes and 14 million quarters struck. Never having entered commerce, both coins are as beautiful as the day they left the San Francisco Mint nearly 70 years ago.
