1976 Jefferson $2 Note, Crisp Uncirculated. Everyone loves two dollar bills and this Bicentennial issue is especially prized. These notes are rarely seen in circulation and often only used for special occasions. This unusual U.S. $2 note, featuring a special one-year-only design, was issued in 1976 to commemorate the Bicentennial of American Independence. Shown is the painting The Declaration of Independence by John Trumbull.
1976 Bicentennial 40% Silver 3-Coin Proof Set. In 1976, for the first time in our history, three different U.S. Mint coin designs honored a single event: the 200th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence. These 40% silver coins were struck by the San Francisco Mint exclusively in proof sets; some sets were broken up to obtain individual coins, so fewer intact sets survive today. Superlative proof quality.
