Canada minted its final cent coin in 2012. The cost of production had risen well beyond the face value. In the U.S. it takes a whopping 2.4 cents to create one penny! In tough economic times like these how much longer will the U.S. cent continue to be minted? If production ends there will be renewed interest in pennies of the past and you'll want a collection of your own. After 50 continuous years of service, the Lincoln Memorial cent was replaced in 2009 with new reverse designs for the centennial of America's most collected coin series. For this special set we'll select 25 different 1959-2008 Lincoln Memorial cents and included a folder to display and protect each coin.
