As the millennium approached, the USPS launched its Celebrate the Century Series. Featuring a snapshot of American life, a sheet of 15 collectible stamps was issued for each decade of the 20th century. This set of 32¢ stamps focuses on the events of the 1930s, illustrating the resiliance of the nation and strategic ways its citizens grappled with the reality of the Great Depression. To add to this time capsule, we've included a Circulated 1930s Buffalo nickel and an OPA ration token to foreshadow the coming of World War II.
