Set of Five Different U.S. Liberty Head Nickels. In 1883, the new nickel featured only a large V for the 5 cent denomination. Racketeers gold-plated some and passed them off as $5 gold pieces. The deaf mute Josh Tatum was the most notorious and got off by claiming that he couldn't tell merchants it was merely a nickel and the phrase "I was only joshing you" entered the language. Our set includes the second 1883-1912 type with the word CENTS added. Good quality. Dates of our choice.

These were fine and I added them for my collection for my son and grandkids
I was under impression that I would get at least one nickel with "no cents" on it.
*MERCHANT RESPONSE* The product description clearly states that the set is of the second type, with the word cents added. We do have a 30-day return policy. Call us at 1-800-451-4463 for details.
Interesting and satisfied.
Product was as advertised. No prob. there. They came in a small paper envelop which I dropped and almost threw away with the main envelop. I was thinking they might be shipped in a plastic pouch which would not cost that much. Just a suggestion on mailing procedures in the future. Tommy Bessa
I would purchase items again if different dates became available. Would like to be able to select dates needed.
