1885-O New Orleans Morgan Silver Dollar, Brilliant Uncirculated. Just 9.2 million of these big 90% silver issues were output at a time when the New Orleans Mint was producing Morgan dollars exclusively. Many were stored in Treasury bags and later melted, leaving far fewer today that mintage numbers indicate. Original luster and no sign of wear.
1922-S San Francisco Peace Silver Dollar, Brilliant Uncirculated. After the Philadelphia Mint introduced the Peace silver dollar late in 1921, the famous San Francisco branch mint released its first issue in 1922. The Peace dollar was to be the last silver dollar type struck for U.S. commerce by the "Granite Lady," which had been one of the few buildings to survive the 1906 earthquake intact. The 1922-S issue has the fewest remaining in BU quality for the date.
