To mark the bicentennial of Abraham Lincoln's birth and 100 years of the Lincoln cent, in 2009 the U.S. Mint issued four new one-year-only engravings on the reverse of the humble penny. These designs honored Abe's birthplace, his formative years, professional life and presidency. In comparison to the billions of cents output annually, the 2009 Lincoln cent had surprisingly few produced for its denomination — and with its four distinct designs, one of the lowest circulating mintages in recent decades.
Our set includes all four 2009 Lincoln cent designs in Brilliant Uncirculated quality from both Philadelphia and Denver Mints (eight coins in total) and a folder to store them in. While supplies last, get a FREE historical replica of Lincoln's famous Gettysburg Address.
