The U.S. Mint has not produced the Kennedy half dollar for circulation since 2002. Since then, the popular coin has only been minted in limited numbers for sale directly to collectors. Recent Brilliant Uncirculated Kennedy half dollar mintages have fallen to just a tiny fraction of previous outputs. For example, in 2015 just 2.3 million were issued respectively by the Philadelphia (P mintmark) and Denver (D) facilities, compared to an average of 215 million in 1964 and 21 million in the year 2000. Our set includes both 2017 P and D Brilliant Uncirculated issues.
