Product Description
The Seated Liberty engraving was modeled off of Britannia, the figure shown on British coinage. The small 90% silver half dime was the five-cent denomination used from the 1790s until the 1860s when the first nickels were introduced into American commerce. Even after the debut of the nickel, the petite half dime would continue to be minted until the early 1870s. These Good quality silver half dimes retain major designs and clear dates.
