Product Description
1861-1865 Seated Liberty Silver Half Dollar F: Save now on this coveted Civil War-era silver half dollar. Featured is Lady Liberty holding a shield in one hand and a liberty cap in the other, as she seems to gaze westward. The eagle on the reverse holds a peace branch and arrows of preparedness. We'll choose from 1861-1865 Civil War-era dates, which do not carry the "In God We Trust" motto that would appear later in the series. Our Fine quality issues circulated over 150 years ago.
1860-1865 Civil War Era 1¢, 2¢ & 3¢ Trio G: We've curated a trio of small denomination coins that were struck during the American Civil War. The years-long conflict caused silver, gold and copper coins to all but disappear from circulation. The U.S. Mint would alter the original copper-nickel composition of the Indian Head cent to that of bronze, introduce the motto IN GOD WE TRUST on a new, peculiar two-cent piece, and in place of the vanished silver trime, issue a copper-nickel three-cent piece. Our choice of dates based on availability.
