Product Description
Minted since 1837, the Seated Liberty dime underwent a design change in 1860; stars were removed and the legend UNITED STATES OF AMERICA was relocated to the obverse. This variety was used heavily in commerce until 1891, when it was replaced with the Liberty Head dime the following year. Although the Seated Liberty dimes were minted for twice as long as their successor their total output was only about half of the Liberty Head dimes mintage. Well-traveled Good quality.
