Product Description
Morgan mintages steadily rose in the 1880s, when silver was pouring out of the great Western mines. But many were held in reserve and later lost in government melts. So original mintages can be very deceiving in relation to actual survival numbers. For example, this 1884 Philadelphia Morgan had a production of just over 14 million, but today just 4% of the original number may survive in Extra Fine or higher grades.Product Videos
