Product Description
1890 Morgan Silver Dollar BU – During the 1880s, 46% of the entire Morgan series was produced. By the time Philadelphia struck its 1890 issue, a superfluous number of silver dollars were already in circulation, scoring a hefty portion of its mintage a one way ticket to storage – and ultimately into the government's melting pot. Although 2% of its original output is thought to remain in this Brilliant Uncirculated quality, the principal mint's 1890 Morgan is still the most affordable issue for the date.
1891 Morgan Silver Dollar BU – With loads of silver dollars circulating, it's no wonder that there was a sharp decline in the number of Morgans produced by Philadelphia in 1891 – a mere 8.7 million were output – about half as many as the year before. Today, experts estimate that as few as 230,000 of the principal mint's original 1891 business strikes may be extant in mint-state grades. Our Brilliant Uncirculated specimens feature nice luster and no sign of wear.
