Product Description
1891-S Morgan Silver Dollar BU: In 1891, the San Francisco Mint produced 5.3 million business strikes, but due to the overabundance of silver dollars already in circulation, much of the year's output was sent to storage and would later be lost in Uncle Sam's melting pot during the world wars. After the passage of more than 13 decades, experts estimate that of the original output, as few as 60,000 may survive in this lustrous Brilliant Uncirculated quality or higher grades.
1897-S Morgan Silver Dollar BU: In this lustrous Brilliant Uncirculated state, the 1897-S date is one of the most affordable San Francisco Morgan issues of the 1890s. This issue is regarded for its excellent strike which this BU condition highlights wonderfully. Today an estimated 1% of the original 5,825,000 Morgans issued by the west coast mint are estimated to survive across all uncirculated grades.
