The Peace dollar emerged after World War I and was America's last silver dollar struck for circulation. In 1922 the Philadelphia Mint issue introduced the modified-relief engravings that became the standard for the series, which ended in 1935. The first Denver Mint Peace silver dollar had a mintage less than one-third of that 1922 Philadelphia issue and today fewer than 1% of its production survives in mint-state quality. The San Francisco Mint also struck its first Peace dollars in 1922. Presently, the S-mint issue is one of the scarcest for the date in mint-state condition; it's estimated that under 34,000 may exist today. With so few extant, this sharply detailed, circulated Extra Fine quality trio is an appealing and affordable option for collectors.
