First introduced in 1916 during the Golden Age of American coinage, it takes just one glance at the Walker to understand why this coin is regarded as the United States' most magnificent silver piece. The Walking Liberty half dollar circulated amid some of the most wonderful and difficult decades of America's past. Slated for retirement in 1941, Congress decided to extend the series through WWII, finally ending the Walking Liberty's service in 1947. For this special offer we've paired the final Philadelphia and Denver issues.
