Product Description
1948-D Franklin Silver Half Dollar VF – In 1948, the Franklin silver half dollar made its debut following the retirement of the Walking Liberty design. The Mile High City mint struck a respectable 4,028,600 Franklins that first year – certainly nothing to sneeze at! However, in the (unexpectedly) final year of the series more than 16 times as many were output by Denver. Clearly detailed Very Fine quality.
1963-D Franklin Silver Half Dollar BU – At the time of issue in 1963, no one had any inkling that the Franklin halves produced by the Denver Mint would be the last in the popular series. But in late November of that year, John F. Kennedy was assassinated and the Franklin series was discontinued in favor of a new half dollar that honored the fallen President. Superb Brilliant Uncirculated quality.
