Product Description
Collectors love U.S. proof sets. The combination of beauty and convenience is hard to beat. Low mintages, specially struck coins and official U.S. Mint packaging make these items a great choice for everyone.
You get four proof sets from four different decades and a FREE box at a big savings.
1971 PROOF SET — This vintage five-coin 1971 proof set is a noteworthy issue for both what is, and what isn't inside. It features the first appearance of the copper-nickel Kennedy half, yet interestingly enough – lacks an example of the big Eisenhower dollar, despite the fact that it debuted in 1971!
1986 PROOF SET — Examples of annual proof coins could only be found within – you guessed it – proof sets. Although a respectable 2.4 million collector's sets were produced in 1986, many have since been poached for individual specimens, leaving fewer intact than original mintage numbers would suggest.
1997 PROOF SET — In 1997, the U.S. Mint issued just 1,975,000 proof sets. That year proved to be the second-lowest regular proof set production in four decades and was just 47% of the series' peak 4.1 million mintage of 1976. Included are exquisite proofs of all five U.S. denominations for the date: cent, nickel, dime, quarter and half dollar.
2000 PROOF SET — This millennial 10-coin proof set is home to the first golden-colored Sacagawea small dollar. Dated 2000, it includes the cent, nickel, dime and half dollar proofs as well as State quarters honoring Massachusetts, Maryland, South Carolina, New Hampshire and Virginia.
