Product Description
The U.S. Mint revived the traditional-size silver dollar in 1971 after a 35-year hiatus (none had been minted since the final 1935 Peace silver dollar). This first U.S. 40% silver S-mint dollar was issued directly to collectors and was just 5% of the 1971 copper-nickel output produced for circulation. Shown are President Eisenhower and the Eagle on Moon Apollo 11 emblem (our space program began under Ike's administration). These Brilliant Uncirculated issues are as impressive as the day they were minted.
