Product Description
1976 Proof Set, This six-coin proof set was the most popular ever released to the American public. It marked the first time that three different coin designs honored a single event: the Bicentennial of the Declaration of Independence. The quarter, half dollar and dollar each have unique reverse engravings and present 1776-1976 dual dates on their obverse.
1976 Mint Set, The U.S. Mint's Bicentennial year engravings were very popular and include the Drummer Boy quarter, Independence Hall half dollar and Liberty Bell dollar. Each was designed to honor our country's two-hundredth birthday and carries the dual dates of 1776-1976. Despite its special Bicentennial importance, this 12-coin set's mintage ended at just 1,892,513, which was the second lowest output during the 1970s.
