About American Memorial Park:

• The 133-acre park located on the island of Saipan in the Northern Marianas Islands was created in honor of American and Marianas lives lost during World War II.
• Three distinctive sites within the park honor the sacrifices of soldiers and civilians. The names of 5,204 military personnel and 929 civilians whose lives were lost during the Marianas Campaign of World War II are inscribed on granite memorials.
• The park is considered a "living memorial" with an amphitheater, beaches, picnic areas, foot and bike paths and sports fields. A mangrove forest and 30-acres of wetlands are also part of the park.
