The second release of 2022 tips its hat — or helmet — to the snowboard. A pioneering innovator of the industry, Burton Snowboards was founded in Vermont in the 1970s. Snowboarding gained a foothold on the slopes of Vermont's Green Mountains, eventually reaching worldwide popularity and earning recognition as an Olympic sport. On the coin's reverse a female rider is depicted performing a "melon grab" trick mid-air. Common obverse depicts the Statue of Liberty and a privy mark of a stylized gear.
