The third dollar honoring Indiana depicts a series of vehicles showcasing automotive innovations. The design includes an early style gas automobile, a representation of classic car production and a recent Indy style race car.
The final dollar honors Mississippi and celebrates the first human lung transplant. In 1963, Dr. James D. Hardy and collaborators performed the world's first human lung transplant at the University of Mississippi.
