The British threepence coin was produced intermittently from the reign of King Edward VI in the mid-1500s until the UK's adoption of decimalization in the early 1970s. Originally silver, its composition was changed to that of brass in 1937 during George VI's tenure and continued in that form into Elizabeth II's reign. Our affordable set will include one brass specimen from each of the following decades: 1930s, 40s, 50s and 60s for a total of four coins.
