These thin, petite silver coins were struck by hand during the mid-15th to early 17th centuries to display Hungary's adoption of Christianity and in defiance of the Ottoman Turks' quest to convert Central and Western Europe to Islam. The obverse of this dainty coin depicts the patron saint of Hungary, a crowned Virgin Mary and her infant son, Jesus. The reverse features the Hapsburg coat of arms. Housed in an informative album with certificate of authenticity.
