In observance of the 80th anniversary of the fall of Bataan during World War II, we've sourced a coin not often seen. Issued in 1967, the commemorative coin honors the 25th anniversary of Bataan's surrender to the Japanese and the subsequent brutal Bataan Death March during which thousands of Filipino and American POWs perished. A broken sword engulfed in flames and the dates 1942-1967 is engraved on the 90% silver peso's reverse. Republic of the Philippines coat of arms obverse. Brilliant Uncirculated quality.
