Product Description
Both these historic silver dimes are dated 1916. Issued from 1892 1916, the Liberty Head dime, designed by Charles E. Barber, was the last to share its engraving with the quarter and half dollar. In 1916, when it completed the 25 year span authorized by Congress, the Liberty Head was replaced by the stunning Mercury dime. "Mercury" is actually a personification of Liberty, with wings on her cap symbolizing freedom of thought. This elegant dime is regarded as the most beautiful in American history. Both silver issues are in well-preserved Good quality.
