Its 2.2 million mintage was a million less than that of the 5-coin 1971 proof set, which regularly sells for the same price. To protect their pristine beauty, the hand-selected BU coins are enclosed in transparent plastic holders with an official mint medal of the issuing mints. Mintage of 2.2 million.
