Product Description
As the cost of copper and nickel went up in 1979, the big Ike dollar was replaced by the smaller Susan B. Anthony dollar. The first of these diminutive dollars were struck in large numbers for circulation. But only 2.5 million perfect Brilliant Uncirculated minting specimens were released as part of the 1979 U.S. mint set, which also included Philadelphia (no mintmark) and Denver (D) cents, nickels, dimes, quarters and half dollars.
