Product Description
Only 18.2 million of these 90% silver dollars were output more than six decades ago at the Denver Mint. Just a few years later for the final issue of the series, over 67 million were produced at that branch mint. Begun in 1948, the Franklin half dollar series was due to continue for at least 25 years, but was cut short after the assassination of President Kennedy and the introduction of the Kennedy half dollar in 1964. Our stunning Brilliant Uncirculated quality coins never entered commerce and are as beautiful as the the day they left the mint.
