Product Description
Morgan dollar mintages steadily rose in the 1880s and many were held in reserve at banks and issuing mints. However, vast quantities of these Morgans were later lost in government melts. The 1885 Philadelphia Morgan had an original mintage of 17,787,000. But today as few as 6% may survive in mint-state quality. And only a small proportion of those are in the near-gem MS-64 quality we are offering, with blazing luster and virtually no flaws.
Certified coins should never be removed from their cases and cannot be returned once removed.
