Product Description
The U.S. Mint began a new dollar coin series in 2009 celebrating the contributions of Native Americans to the history of the United States. Each year a unique reverse design will grace the Native American dollar. This first year features the theme of agriculture. A Native American woman is seen in her field of corn, beans and squash. The three crops grown together, known as the three sisters, illustrate some of the efficient agricultural techniques practiced by native people that are still in use today.
