Product Description
The experimental brass-clad copper dollar was struck for circulation for only two years at the start of the millennium, but a limited number of these golden-color dollars have been struck for collectors each year since. In 2009 the U.S. Mint began producing Native American dollars with one-year-only reverse designs celebrating the contributions of Native Americans to the history of the United States. The 2011 issue celebrates Native American diplomacy with an engraving showing the hands of a Massasoit and John Carver exchanging a peace pipe during a ceremony.
