Product Description
Minted from 1916 to 1947, the Walking Liberty half dollar is often considered the most beautiful silver coin ever used in American commerce. This classic coin served the nation through World War I, the Great Depression and World War II.
Just 3.7 million of these silver beauties were struck at the San Francisco Mint nearly 75 years ago in 1946; it would prove to be the final Walking Liberty date issued there. The patriotic series would end the following year, with only Philadelphia and Denver issuing the half dollar.
