Product Description
Issued when U.S. quarters still contained 90% precious silver, this impressive coin remains in mint-state quality although it's six decades old. In 1959, just 28% of Washington quarters were output at the principal Philadelphia mint. None were produced in San Francisco that year. Of the 24 million 1959-P issues, only a fraction survive today in this Brilliant Uncirculated quality. Today, almost three billion quarters are output annually and those clad issues still feature George Washington. Our Brilliant Uncirculated quality features crisp detail and excellent luster.
