Product Description
1964 First Kennedy Half Dollar Proof Set. The five-coin 1964 proof set is notable for three reasons: it contained the first year Kennedy half dollar; it was the last proof set produced by the Philadelphia Mint; and it was the last to contain 90% silver specimens of the dime, quarter and half dollar. Please note that vintage sets are not always available in original Mint packaging.
1973 First Ike Dollar Proof Set. This affordable 1973 set was the first to showcase six coins and it also marked the first appearance of the Eisenhower dollar, although the big coin had been issued for circulation since 1971. Prior to the output of this landmark 1973 issue, the U.S. Mint's proof sets consisted of just five specimens: the cent, nickel, dime, quarter and half dollar. Original packaging.
1979 First SBA Dollar Proof Set. The 1979 proof set is home to America's first clad small dollar coin. Featuring suffragist, Susan B. Anthony, it was also the first U.S. coin to depict a woman of historical significance. For every 200 Susie B. dollars struck for commerce in 1979, only one was issued as a superb proof exclusively in this six-coin set. Original U.S. Mint packaging.
