Product Description
The immensely popular U.S. Statehood quarter series ended in 2008, when the last five states to join the union were honored. For 2009, the U.S. Mint issued similar quarters paying tribute to the District of Columbia and five U.S. territories. Each coin features a distinctive design highlighting unique characteristics of: the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, Guam, American Samoa, the U.S. Virgin Islands and the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands. The obverse engraving of George Washington remained the same as that seen on Statehood quarters. We are offering these six issues in pristine proof form. Encased in official U.S. Mint packaging, each features a mirror-like background and frosted deep-sculpted engravings.
