The U.S. Mint's Seated Liberty dime was output for over half a century from 1837 to 1891. The obverse features the image of Liberty seated on a rock while the reverse carries an agricultural wreath displaying the North's corn and wheat and South's cotton and tobacco. In its day this 10¢ coin was very useful and held favorable buying power. During the series' long run coins were minted in Philadelphia, San Francisco, New Orleans and Carson City. Minor alterations to the dime's engravings occurred throughout the series, resulting in an array of collectible varieties. We don't often feature these small silver treasures but recently found a nice stash of mixed types. Our choice of date, mint and type based on availability.
