Product Description
1883-O Morgan Silver Dollar BU – Struck by the historic Old South facility in the heyday of the series, this vintage silver dollar still looks as though it just left the mint, although that was more than 13 decades ago! Its mintage of 8,725,000 was well below the principal Philadelphia Mint's 12.2 million output for that year.
1888-O Morgan Silver Dollar BU – In the early 1960s, the 1888-O was one of the hardest to find Morgans until the dispersal of the Treasury's hoard of stored silver dollars. Even with the new supply, this elusive date's availability was not altered as much as earlier rarities that became common with the government's releases – in the eight decades between minting and the Treasury's clean out, huge numbers of 1888-Os had already been lost in melts.
1901-O Morgan Silver Dollar BU – Among 20th century Morgan dollars, the date of 1901 is difficult to find in mint condition as many fell into the government's melting pot. Of the surviving 1901 issues output by Philadelphia, San Francisco and New Orleans, only the O-Mint Morgan is still affordable in BU quality; high grade specimens struck by the principal mint and San Fran sell for thousands to hundreds of thousands of dollars!
