Product Description
1892 Morgan Silver Dollar VF: In 1892, just 1,036,000 Morgans were issued by the principal Philadelphia Mint, whose outputs had averaged over 20 million per year in 1887-1889 and over nine million in 1890-1891. Today as few as 97,600 of those big silver dollars may survive in mint-state quality. That's less than 10% of the original number. Since those 1892 Philadelphia BU issues sell for nearly $1,000, this Very Fine quality specimen is an attractive buy.
1892-O Morgan Silver Dollar VF: The Treasury dialed back New Orleans' 1892 production to just 2.7 million pieces – only about one-third of the previous year's mintage. Thirteen decades later, as few as 133,000 original 1892-Os are estimated to remain in VF and higher grades. Nowadays, garden variety BUs sell for over $1,100, which makes acquiring circulated 1892-O specimens an especially enticing option for budget-minded collectors.
