1912-D Liberty Head Nickel, Less than 8.5 million Liberty Head nickels were struck by the Denver Mint more than a century ago in what was technically the last year of the series (no 1913 issues are supposed to exist, yet five specimens are known). This date is special for two reasons — the 1912-D is only one of two issues in the series to bear a mintmark and it was the only Liberty Head nickel ever struck by Denver. Well-traveled Good quality.
