Within any given coin series, discrepancies may exist between engravings of the same issue — and this pair of final year Mercury silver dimes is an excellent example of that! Although both coins were struck in 1945 by the San Francisco Mint, their mintmarks are noticeably different; one sports a normal sized S, while the other type displays an itty-bitty micro S. These dainty Mercury dimes certainly pulled their weight while in circulation, but are still quite legible. Good to Fine quality.
