This 90% silver half dollar was issued to commemorate the centennial anniversary of Iowa's admission to the Union. Just 100,057 were minted; of those, 1,000 were set aside for distribution in the future – 500 were released in 1996 marking the state's sesquicentennial and the remaining 500 will be issued in 2046 in observance of the bicentennial. The obverse features the Old Stone Capitol. Iowa's state seal reverse. Lustrous, Brilliant Uncirculated condition.
