Product Description
1984, 1994 & 2004 Proof Set Trio, This hand-picked trio of popular proof sets boast exemplary coins with double-struck, deep-sculpted engravings and spectacular mirror fields... all at a sale price! Just 2.7 million five-coin sets were issued in 1984; its output was the second lowest of any clad proof set of the 1980s and the lowest since 1974. Proof set mintages began to decline in the final decade of the 20th century — only 2.3 million were produced in 1994 — and with the exception of the millennial issue, no clad collector's set would ever reach over three million units again. The 11-coin 2004 proof set featured two special Lewis & Clark bicentennial nickels in addition to the year's five state quarters, Sacagawea dollar and standard cent, dime and half dollar. All sets are still in original U.S. Mint packaging.
1975, 1985 & 1995 Mint Set Trio, Mint sets are a great way for collectors to acquire unblemished examples of annual coins produced by the U.S. Mint for commerce. With the inclusion of Bicentennial preview specimens, the 12-coin 1975 mint set is the only one that features three dates. The 10-coin 1985 mint set's output of 1.7 million was just half of its proof counterpart's mintage, but with twice the coins! was the lowest from 1964 to 2003. In 1995, just 1,038,787 mint sets were produced — the second lowest output of the decade. Each mint set in this trio contains perfect BU specimens of circulation coins from the Philadelphia and Denver Mints.
