In 1976 as the U.S. was celebrating its 200th anniversary of Independence, the Postal Service issued four souvenir stamp sheets. Each contained five individually perforated stamps actually valid for postage. Four famous Revolutionary War paintings were used for these Bicentennial issues featuring: The Declaration of Independence, Washington Crossing the Delaware, Washington Reviewing his Ragged Army at Valley Forge and the Surrender of Lord Cornwallis at Yorktown. Original envelope included.
