The big 13-coin 1981 mint set contains three Susan B. Anthony dollars from the Philadelphia, Denver and San Francisco Mints. Early in 1981 the Treasury decided not to follow through on the three planned circulation mintages for the dollar, which meant that the SBA coins were issued in Brilliant Uncirculated quality only in the 1981 mint set. Its mintage of just 2,908,145 was far below that of the 1981 U.S. proof set's 4,063,083.
