2003 Mint Set 20 Coins

The U.S. Mint inaugurated the popular 50 state quarter series in 1999 increasing the size of yearly mint sets. This 20-coin 2003 set includes both the Philadelphia and Denver mint one-year commemorative quarters honoring Illinois, Alabama, Maine, Missouri and Arkansas. With a production of just over 1.0 million, this set had the second lowest mintage from 1965 to that date. Included are BU issues of all circulating coins for the date housed in protective wraps with both sides of each coin visible.
