This impressive commemorative was released to honor the centennial of the Wright Brother's famous 1903 flight. Shown is the imposing Wright Monument and the famous Wright Flier. The early aircraft is soaring above the dunes at Kitty Hawk, with Orville aboard and his brother Wilbur running along beside. Almost twice as many commemorative half dollar proofs were issued that year making this Brialliant Uncirculated quality a tougher find.
